Abhi tum sa tha koi ru'bru, tmhe yad hm ne boht kiya

Brri rs bhri thi wo guftgu, tmhe yad hm ne boht kiya

Wohi mst ankhon ki mstiyan, wohi chand chehre ki chandni

Wohi arz-e-hal tha hu'bahu, tmhe yad hm ne boht kiya

Wohi hont the wohi phool the, wohi be'misal udasiyan

Wohi khwab tha wohi aarzu, tmhe yad hm ne boht kiya

Wohi aarzu-e-wisal thi, jo "jaan" shbon ki misal thi

Wohi dil'kshi wohi rng-o-bu, tmhe yad hm ne boht kiya...
